Rovers & Paper Circuits

Last Christmas we made our first workshop at Zea Arismendi School in Honduras. 80% of the children that attend this school live in extreme poverty (this means they live on less than US$1.90/day). The school is run by the local community, and it provides kids with education and a daily meal (for some kids this is their only meal of the day).

We did a “Mars exploration” themed experience, where the kids learned about the Curiosity rover and built their own circuits. They were all super excited when their circuits lit up!💡🤖🤓 We could tell from every kid’s expression that they were curious, happy, inquisitive, and excited … which is what all kids should be allowed to be. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated or volunteered!
